We brought our dogs to stay with Raina at The Educated Dog for the first time in 1996. As we talked with her at that initial meeting, we came to understand how safe, careful and thorough she was but also how well she understood the dogs and what they would need to be engaged, relaxed and content while staying at her dog camp (as we call it in our house). Since our dogs' first visit was such a great success, we are now in our second generation of dogs who stay with her whenever we go away.
For 17 years now, Raina has understood the characters of each of our dogs in a very personal way. She provides a dog-centric, social, well structured life for her dog guests. Our dogs have always come back to us with an air of calm happiness about them that assures us that she is the person we really trust to care for them.

I’ve known Raina Whan and boarded my dogs with her for some 22 years. She is extremely conscientious, responsible and really dedicated to providing safe, loving care. It is very reassuring to see each of my dogs react in such a positive way each time they meet her – I know that they will be having a good time with her.
I have also used Raina for training my three dogs and have always gotten very good results. Most recently I have gotten a Great Pyrenees puppy, Lila. The breed is known to be intelligent but independent and difficult to train. My pup boarded with Raina this past spring and she really worked wonders with Lila during those weeks. Amazingly, I think this young dog is now the best behaved of all my dogs and I credit this to Raina!
